June 2 - Remote Learning Continues for the Remainder of School Year

Posted On Wednesday June 02, 2021

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Today the Ontario Government announced that elementary and secondary schools will continue with remote learning for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. Click here to view the announcement. As we continue with remote learning, it is important that students remain engaged and actively participate in class discussions.

This news allows for continued focus on COVID-19 vaccinations for students age 12+, family members and educators who want to receive the vaccine, while supporting a safe return to in-person learning in September for the 2021-22 school year. For all those interested in registering for a vaccination appointment, please visit the Durham Region Health Department’s website.

Summer School
DCDSB’s Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre is accepting registrations for summer school. Programs are available for all learners. All classes are conditional upon sufficient enrolment. Visit con-ed.ca for more information.

Mental Health Resources

In the coming weeks, we will be launching a summer Mental Health web page with resources and programs that students and families can access during July and August. Communication will also be shared regarding Mental Health speakers and workshops for families interested in participating.

Thank you for your cooperation during this time. We continue to pray for the health and safety of our school communities.

Yours in Catholic Faith,

Tracy Barill
Director of Education
